Many women from my kickboxing class who are plus size have expressed so much interest in yoga and stretching, and I just found this video looking into some research. I’ve gone to yoga classes before and I often struggled with following the instructors because I didn’t know how to modify poses in a way that worked with my body not against it.   4. Wow! Where have you been all my life?! Lol. You are so awesome! I needed to modify my squats and lunges because I have a bad knee. I was searching modifying squats and your videos popped up. I was so happy to see the title actually say plus size because it feels better knowing someone around my size are doing the moves. So whatever problems I may be having you’d understand that and adjust the modification accordingly. That’s a great thing. Honestly, never even realized that the modification ‘s would affect a plus size person differently than a slimmer person. You’re great. So glad I came across your videos. I’m a subscriber for life!   5. Yes, you are a yogi! You share your knowledge (jnana yoga). You serve and do good for others (karma yoga). You show love for all shapes and sizes that women can have (Bhakti yoga). You hit 3 yoga paths. I teach prenatal yoga and seniors, who tend to be more full figured. This was very helpful.

I have been putting off trying yoga for a very long time because I am plus sized (and super short which does add extra problems! lol) I feel like your videos offer great advice on how bigger girls can start doing some things without hurting ourselves and not feeling like absolute crap because our bodies can't bend like the skinnier women. I honestly am not super worried about getting slim, but I love the beach and swimming and my best friend (who used to be a competitive swimmer) told me yoga is a great way to stay in shape enough to where swimming is more comfortable.

As yoga originate from India a lot of our daily activities includes yoga poses for eg Indian style toilet helps someone to do squat, earlier woman used to sit and cook in squat position, mostly Indian people sit on floor and dine,woman even in modern era clean and sweep floor by bending a little down,etc…but being a plus size like you you help me a lot to try some new moves..

  9. I just started doing some yoga but as a beginner with big legs and thighs it has been real difficult for me to get the full benefit out of yoga without having pain. Omg I loved this video. Can you show some modification for lower back. I have 4 dislocate disk on my lower back and it is real hard for me to do stretches again without any pain. Thank you I cannot wait to see what else you can show us to do.

  12. I am plus size at 299lb and i hate my body. I am not a very confident person and hate going to the gym or any where else. I have been looking at videos trying to find something i will stict with. After reading the description of this video i was like oh my god this person is reading my thoughts. I totally hate watching video of fit people. I want to know how to do the exercises as a plus size then work my way to the more fit style. But i had no idea how these videos are amazing. My confidence and health thanks you.

  13. i am not what anyone would say plus size, but i have enough pain in my legs where i can do the bend over toich rhe floor position for long and i was giving up.doing yoga and BAM! Found your video!
